Job Location:           Greenfield, Oldham                           
Standard Pay Rate: £9.50 p/h to £10.50p/h depending on shift            
Hours of Work:      06:00-1400 and 14:00-22:00 rotating each week
Days of Work:         Monday to Friday                                                            

About the role
As a Powder Coater, you will be responsible for start to finish powder coating to a high standard for our bespoke green houses and glass houses.

In this key role, you will be require to do a two-shift operation, 1 week on a 6am to 2pm shift and the next on a 2pm to 10pm shift.

What we need from you

  • Spray painting sheet metal items
  • Selecting the correct paint from the stock rooms
  • Organising powder coating guns and spray booths
  • Ensuring final products are manufactured to a high standard
  • Ensuring products are prepped prior to manufacturing process
  • Powder coating and wet spray painting
  • Heavy lifting
  • Good attention to detail
  • Adhering to health and safety procedures
  • Ideally you will have a powder coating qualification, however this is by no means essential.

With over 65 years' experience, we are a leading European manufacturer and supplier of laboratory and medical equipment, which is sold extensively into the public and private sectors, including Healthcare, Further Education, Pharmaceutical, Biotech, Research, Food/Beverage, Technology and Industrial.

Role and Responsibilities 

The Powder Coating Operative will be responsible for supporting with the transit of the product through the complete Powder Coating process. This will include Main Degreasing Tank (DIP), Product Washing (DIP), Drying, Product Preparation, Product Spraying using Electrostatic Powder Coating, Powder Curing and Product Unload. 

You will have the ability to spray powder to the correct thickness range within fine tolerances. Working as part of an experienced powder coating team, you will be spraying a diverse range of products, in both size and surface.
Location:         Oldham
Hours:             Monday-Thursday 07:30am – 16:00pm
                        Friday 07:30am – 12:30pm
Salary:             £9.82 per hour
Role & Responsibilities:

  • Loading parts onto the production line.
  • Working as part of a team.
  • Working to achieve production targets.
  • Cleaning down electrostatic spray guns and spray booths correctly.
  • Maintaining the spray gun parts and booths according to instructions.
  • Adhering to all Health and Safety legislation

About You:


  • Experience of using a manual spraying system.
  • Experience of prepare parts for powder coating.
  • The ability to work as part of a team.
  • The ability to work to achieve objectives.
