About Us

Our client are a Builders Merchants based in Ashton Under Lyne . they offer a wide range of products including, Flooring, Doors, hardwood, decking and cladding. They are a family run firm with over 50 years’ experience in the industry and supply all over the UK!
 
Easy to reach location via Bus, Tram or Road, with free onsite parking available.
Job Location: Ashton Under Lyne, Greater Manchester    
Salary: £30k to £35K p/a
Days of Work: Monday to Friday 40 Hours Per Week                                                             
Job Type: Permanent 

About the role 

We are recruiting for Sales Driven Trade Counter Manager, this is a very responsible role whereby you will be overseeing the company trade counter, showroom and your team’s sales activity.

The main purpose of this role is to drive sales forward by manging your team and current customers to provide a quality and cost-effective service.

The Ideal candidate 

  • Must have experience in a similar role
  • Be self-motivated
  • Must have the ability to make competent decisions within a fast-paced environment
  • Proven man management and leadership skills
  • Using statistics to make decisions
  • Good analytical skills and the ability to process and use data effectively


Duties/Tasks 

 

  • Mentor and oversee the Trade counter and trade counter staff
  • Ensure that sales targets and KPI’s are met
  • Ensure that the service levels provided by yourself and your team exceeds the customers expectations.
  • Look after and manage all trade counter customers new and old
  • Keep up to date with the latest trends and new products within the market and implement where possible.
  • Liaising with the Sales & Marketing Team
  • Undertake regular team meetings and incentives for the team members
  • Undertake regular reviews and 121’s
  • Identify and Implement any training or development that is required.
  • Attend regular meeting with senior managers/directors
  • Ability to meet financial targets
